A Spikeless Ligament Staple is a medical-grade metal fastener used to pin a tendon or ligament down to the bone. Unlike the spiked version, the bottom of this staple is smooth. This staple is a standard tool in Knee and Ankle surgery. It is used to provide "extra security" for a new ACL graft or to pin back torn ligaments on the side of the knee (MCL).
