Product Description
Every procedure starts with a brand-new, factory-sharpened tip. This reduces the force needed to pierce tough tissue, leading to more accurate stitch placement and less tissue trauma.
As a single-use device, it eliminates the cleaning challenges associated with hollow-core instruments. There is no risk of bio-burden buildup or protein residue inside the lumen.
The high-strength polymer handle is designed to reduce hand fatigue during long arthroscopic cases while maintaining the tactile "feedback" surgeons need when feeling for tissue density.
Ideal for rotator cuff repairs and labral stabilization (Bankart or SLAP repairs) where passing sutures through the thick glenoid labrum is required.
Specifically designed for labral suturing and capsular closure in the deep, narrow compartments of the hip joint.
Used in meniscal repair techniques and for passing sutures through the joint capsule or collateral ligaments during complex reconstructions.

A Disposable Suture Hook is a one-time-use surgical needle with a curved tip. It is used during "keyhole" surgery to pass medical thread through a torn ligament. Because it is disposable, it arrives in a sterile pack and is thrown away after the surgery, ensuring it is always perfectly sharp and clean.
This tool is essential for Shoulder and Hip repairs. Surgeons use it to "sew" inside the joint. It allows them to poke through tough cartilage and slide a suture through the hollow center of the hook. It is the go-to tool for fixing torn rotator cuffs or hip labrums without needing large incisions.
The main advantage is Reliability. Metal needles can become dull after many uses and cleanings. With the disposable version, the needle is always razor-sharp, which means it slips through tissue easily. It also saves the hospital time because it doesn't need to be washed or put in an autoclave after the surgery.
Biomechanically, the hook is designed for High-Precision Puncture. The sharp point reduces the initial "tenting" of the tissue, ensuring the puncture happens exactly where the surgeon aims. The 304V steel shaft is engineered to maintain its bend ($ \theta $) under the pressure of the tissue, preventing the needle from deforming while the surgeon is applying the necessary force ($F$) to pass the suture.
The surgeon inserts the hook through a small port. They use the curved tip to hook the tissue that needs a stitch. Once they pierce the tissue, they feed a suture (thread) through the handle. The thread comes out of the tip of the hook inside the joint. A different tool then grabs the thread, and the hook is pulled back out, leaving the stitch in place.
Since the hook is a tool used during the procedure and not an implant, it is removed at the end of the surgery. Because the stitches are placed so accurately, the repair is very stable. This allows patients to move into their Physical Therapy phase with confidence that the repaired tissue is securely held in place.
The Disposable Suture Hook is the perfect combination of surgical precision and hospital efficiency. By guaranteeing a sharp, sterile instrument for every case, it helps surgeons achieve consistent results in the most challenging arthroscopic repairs.
Disposable hooks are always perfectly sharp and clean. Reusable hooks can become dull over time or get clogged with bone and tissue debris inside the hollow tube, which is very hard to clean.
Yes. We offer "Left," "Right," and "Up" versions. Each one is color-coded so the surgeon can pick the right shape to reach the specific part of the joint they are fixing.
No. The handle is made of medical-grade reinforced polymer. It is designed to be very strong and can easily handle the pressure of pushing the needle through tough cartilage.
No, the hook is sterile and empty. The surgeon chooses the best type of high-strength thread for the patient and feeds it through the handle during the surgery.
Yes. It is made of biocompatible stainless steel and polymer. Since it is single-use, it is actually the safest option for preventing infections between patients.
