Product Description
The suture is inserted into the end of the needle and compressed (swaged). This creates a single continuous unit, eliminating the need to "thread" a needle and reducing the trauma caused as the suture passes through the tissue.
Our needles undergo a specialized electro-polishing process. This ensures they penetrate the tissue with minimal force, which is critical for reducing patient discomfort and improving aesthetic outcomes.
Manufactured from specialized surgical alloys, our needles are designed to be strong enough to penetrate dense tissue without bending, yet flexible enough to not snap under stress.
Packages are clearly color-coded (e.g., Green for Silk, Blue for Polypropylene) to help surgical staff quickly identify the correct material and needle type in a high-pressure environment.
Used primarily for skin and tough tissues. The cutting edge is on the outer curve, which prevents the suture from "cutting out" toward the edge of the wound.
Designed for soft tissues like muscle, fascia, and internal organs. It separates tissue fibers rather than cutting them, allowing for faster healing.
A specialized thin, flat needle used in ophthalmic (eye) and micro-surgery to travel between thin layers of tissue.
Used for suturing friable organs like the liver or kidney, minimizing the risk of accidental needle-stick injuries to the surgical team.

In the old days, doctors had to thread a needle like you do with a sewing machine. This meant the thread was doubled over at the needle's eye, creating a big "bump" that tore a large hole in the skin. Our Swaged Needles are different—the thread is tucked inside the back of the needle. It's perfectly smooth, so it slides through the skin without causing extra damage.
Needles come in different curves, like a 1/2 circle or 3/8 circle. A 1/2 circle is used when the doctor is working in a deep, tight space and needs the needle to turn quickly. A 3/8 circle is more common for skin closure because it allows for a longer, shallower stitch.
Imagine the difference between a knife and a pin. A Cutting Needle is like a tiny knife—it is used for tough skin. A Taper Needle is like a sharp pin—it is used for soft parts inside the body because it doesn't leave a cut behind; it just pushes the fibers aside.
Because these are Non-Absorbable, the thread is made of materials that the body cannot break down. This is important for areas that move a lot, like your knee or your heart. The needle helps the surgeon place the thread perfectly, and then the thread stays there to do the hard work of holding the wound shut for as long as needed.
Every suture with a needle is sealed in a "double-peel" package. The first layer is opened by a nurse, and the second layer is kept sterile for the surgeon. This ensures that the needle is 100% clean and free of any germs when it touches the patient.
The Non-Absorbable Surgical Suture with Needle is the ultimate combination of precision and strength. By integrating the needle and thread into one seamless system, we provide surgeons with the tools they need to perform accurate, atraumatic, and reliable wound closures every single time.
Our needles are "swaged" with high-pressure machinery and tested to meet USP pull-out strength standards. They are designed to stay attached even when pulling through tough tissue.
For facial skin, surgeons typically use a small (13mm to 19mm) Reverse Cutting needle with a thin Nylon suture (5-0 or 6-0). This provides the sharpest cut and the smallest scar.
This describes the curvature of the needle. A 3/8 circle needle is 3/8ths of a full circle. It is the most popular shape for general skin closure because it is very easy to handle with a needle holder.
No. These are "single-use" items. Reusing a needle would make it dull and increase the risk of infection. The needle and thread should be disposed of in a "sharps" container after the procedure.
The most common length is 75cm (about 30 inches), which is plenty of thread for most closures. We also offer shorter 45cm lengths for small procedures and 150cm for large internal repairs.
